Power Scriptures


Why would we not want to commit God's wonderful Word to memory, when quoting scriptures can defeat the devil and his demons in our daily lives?

The application of God's Sword can cause them to flee everyday. Jesus quoted The Word of God to Satan when he was harassed and challenged by that fallen angel and liar. During that attempt, the devil left Jesus alone, though temporarily, after three tries.

If you would like to memorize the living and powerful Word of God, but have problems with your memory, ask the Lord to help you.

God will honor your request because you are sincere. Find a scripture reference book, brochure or website and look up a scripture that speaks to your situation. If you seek out scriptures that really mean something to you, it will be easier to remember them. Here is a place to start:

Below are my favorite scriptures, the ones that give me power for living each day. Yes, I have memorized all of them and I continue to add new ones.

The wonderful thing about memorizing scriptures is that they do spring up and quote themselves at all of the most-needed and appropriate times.

  The Word of God is alive! It is a sword in the battles of this life, and it endures forever!
